About the Author
Peter Oldani graduated college from the University at Buffalo (UB) with a B.S. in biomedical engineering and worked as a neural engineering researcher through UB's school of dental medicine for 2 years. During that time he also worked as an emergency medical technician (EMT) to gain hands on experience in emergency medicine. Through his work with Rural Metro Medical Services he completed active shooter training as part of New York State’s initiative to prepare civilian organizations for disaster response.
The goal of this website is to help individuals with no prior medical training effectively respond to emergency situations. To accomplish this goal we provide comprehensive, easy-to-understand information about emergency medical equipment and its uses. We also provide step-by-step instructions on recognizing and treating common medical emergencies.
